Specialist Programs
St Joseph’s offers some exciting specialist classes for our students. These include:
AUSLAN
Auslan Education Services delivers explicit teaching through engaging video lessons that include fun, interactive activities. All lessons are filmed and presented by Deaf and Hard of Hearing educators. A comprehensive Teacher Planner supports classroom teachers by guiding them step-by-step through each lesson. The program teaches both Auslan and Deaf culture and is fully aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Students participate in designated physical education lessons each week. A variety of skills and sports are taught as well as preparations for swimming, athletics, cross country, t20 cricket and winter sports.
THE ART
Students participate in Visual Arts and Dance.
DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
All students participate in Digital Technology. Students have 1:1 iPad access
